  • Storage room containing: 20 x Gopak tables (6ft x 2ft 3”), 180 x cushioned chairs, 14 x children’s tables, 40 x children’s chairs, and 1 x round table suitable for cake display or gifts 
  • Spacious, well-equipped kitchen with a wide serving hatch to the main hall 
  • Bar area (unstocked) connecting the kitchen to the foyer 
  • Fully accessible throughout, with the exception of the stage area, which is only accessible via steps

The hall has a modern, clean, well-equipped kitchen featuring:
  • single oven
  • microwave
  • fridge freezer
  • hob
  • wall-mounted hot water boiler (for hot drinks)
  • separate sinks.
  • selection of crockery, cutlery and glassware as well as food preparation equipment (please check at point of booking)

The room can be hired separately from the Main Hall, subject to activities taking place in the Main Hall. 
Garden and Outdoor Space
 
Gated, landscaped garden with access from both the Main Hall and the front road entrance.

Includes accessible seating areas, a paved section, and artificial turf. Features a small children’s playhouse.
 
The garden leads directly to the car park, which provides parking for approximately 30 vehicles, and includes rear access to the hall for convenient loading and unloading.
 
A defibrillator is located externally for emergency use.
 
The venue is adjacent to the village recreation ground, which includes a public play area.
Audio Visual Facilities*
 
  • Electric-powered drop-down screen 
  • Ceiling-mounted projector with HDMI connection points at the front and rear of the hall 
  • 2 x portable speakers with Bluetooth connectivity and microphones

Licences 

Meldreth Village Hall holds the following licences:

  • Premises licence from South Cambridgeshire District Council covering a range of activities including film and dramatic performances, parties, and other social events 
  • Music licence from PRS and PPL 

Please note: we do not hold a licence for the sale of alcohol
Hirers may apply for a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) from South Cambridgeshire District Council if required. As part of the hire agreement, hirers must inform us if they intend to apply for a licence for the sale of alcohol, as the number of TENs is limited per year.
