Booking, Payment & Cancellation Summary
 
This summary explains the main financial terms for hiring the Hall. The full legal terms are set out in the Standard Conditions of Hire and the Payment, Deposit and Cancellation Policy.
 
1. Booking and Payment
 
  •  Your booking is confirmed once the Hall accepts your booking request 
  •  You agree to the Hall’s hire conditions when booking 
  •  Payment is usually required within 14 days of confirmation (unless otherwise agreed) 
 
2. Deposits
 
  •  Some bookings require a refundable deposit 
  •  Deposits are used only if there is damage, extra cleaning, or breach of conditions 
  •  Most deposits are returned within 7 working days after your hire 
 
3. Cancellations
 
Cancellation charges depend on how much notice you give:
 
  • More than 28 days before: refund minus £20 admin fee 
  • 14–28 days before: 50% refund (may change if re-let) 
  • Less than 14 days: no refund 

If the Hall is re-let, we may reduce or improve the refund.
 
A £20 administration fee applies to cancellations after payment in most cases.
 
4. Cleaning and Damage
 
You must leave the Hall clean and tidy.
 You may be charged for:
 
  •  extra cleaning 
  •  damage 
  •  loss of keys 
  •  overstaying your hire time 

Charges are based on actual costs.
 
5. Our Approach
 
We aim to be fair and reasonable. Trustees may adjust charges where appropriate, especially if the Hall is re-let or costs are reduced.

When you book the hall, you agree to the Standard Conditions of Hire and the Payment, Deposit and Cancellation Policy, which together form a legally binding agreement.
